Tyler Morse

CEO, Managing Partner

Tyler Morse is CEO and Managing Partner of MCR. Since co-founding MCR in 2006, Mr. Morse has led the company to its position as the seventh largest hotel owner/operator in the United States. With $2 billion of assets under management, MCR owns and operates 94 hotels (11,264 rooms) located across 67 cities and 24 states.

Prior to founding MCR, Mr. Morse served as Assistant to the Chairman and CEO of Starwood Hotels & Resorts (Barry Sternlicht) and contributed to Starwood's overall corporate investment and development initiatives. Mr. Morse was also President of Bliss, the upscale spa and beauty products company based in New York City. Previously, Mr. Morse worked as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley in its Financial Sponsors and Mergers and Acquisitions Group. He started his career at Ernst & Young LLP, where he earned a CPA. Mr. Morse has also worked as a Ski Instructor at Squaw Valley USA and at Termás de Chillán in Chile, on Ski Patrol at Mammoth Mountain and a Baggage Handler at LAX for Delta Air Lines.

Mr. Morse serves on the Board of Directors of NYC & Company, the convention and visitor arm of New York City. He is a member of the Marriott International (NASDAQ: MAR) Courtyard by Marriott Advisory Board and the Hilton Worldwide (NYSE: HLT) Distribution Advisory Committee. He serves on the Policy Advisory Board for the Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business. Mr. Morse is an active member of IREFAC, PREA and NAREIT. He serves as a Trustee on the board of Prep for Prep. 

Mr. Morse received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley. He lives in New York City with his wife and two daughters.

Chris Korinek

SVP, Operations

Chris Korinek is the Senior Vice President of Operations of MCR. Previously Mr. Korinek served as Vice President of Operations, West for Flagstone Hospitality Management, the affiliated management company of RFS Hotel Investors, Inc., in Memphis, TN where he was directly accountable for 25 full and select service hotels. From 1999 to 2001, Mr. Korinek served as Director of Asset Management with RFS in Memphis acting as a liaison between ownership and management and determining long term viability of specific markets and hotels. Prior to RFS, Mr. Korinek served for 19 years with Promus Hotel Corporation in various roles with the company including General Manager and Regional Hotel Performance Director.

Kym Janney

Chief Financial Officer

Ms. Janney is the Chief Financial Officer of MCR. She joined the company in 2017 and has 34 years of accounting, financial reporting, investor reporting, operations and transactional experience for private equity, investment management and commercial real estate firms.

Prior to joining MCR, Ms. Janney held senior executive roles with USAA Real Estate, Goldman Sachs, Behringer Harvard Opportunity Funds, Hawkeye Partners and the Hampstead Group. In these positions, she was responsible for all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, and portfolio management for private and public commingled investment funds, joint ventures, REITs and separate accounts. Ms. Janney’s responsibilities also included serving on investment committees and advisory boards, making presentations to audit committees and boards of directors and overseeing the reporting and due diligence requirements of the funds’ institutional, family office and high net worth investors.

She received her B.B.A. in Accounting from Baylor University and is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas.

Russ Shattan

SVP, Acquisitions & Development

Mr. Shattan is the Senior Vice President of Acquisitions & Development for MCR. He is responsible for leading MCR’s investment activities including acquisitions, dispositions, development, and financing's.

Since joining MCR in 2011, Mr. Shattan has led the execution of nearly $1.6 billion in hotel transaction volume, including the acquisition of 90 hotels and development of 16 hotels located across the country. He has also supported the development of two marquee New York City hotel projects, The High Line Hotel in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan, and the TWA Hotel, which is currently under development within the central terminal area of JFK International Airport. 

From 2006 to 2011, Mr. Shattan was a Senior Manager at Starwood Hotels & Resorts, where he worked in the firm’s Real Estate Group. Prior to Starwood, he began his career as an Analyst at CNL Hotels & Resorts, a hotel REIT that was based in Orlando, FL.

Mr. Shattan serves on Hilton’s Select Service Product Advisory Council and the Marriott TownePlace Suites Franchise Advisory Council. He is a graduate of Cornell’s School of Hotel Administration and has been a guest lecturer for real estate and hospitality classes at New York University. He lives in Chelsea with his wife Emily and son Wyatt.

 

Stephen Batta

SVP, Operations
 
Stephen Batta is Senior Vice President, Operations, of MCR. In this role, Mr. Batta leads the operations for all of MCR’s independent full-service hotels across the country, including the 60-room The High Line Hotel in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood and the 512-room TWA Hotel at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport opening in spring 2019. 

Prior to joining MCR in 2018, Mr. Batta served as the General Manager of the 1,780-room Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel, the luxury JW Marriott Essex House New York and the Renaissance New York Hotel. Previously, he was the Assistant General Manager of the New York Marriott Downtown. Earlier in his career, he was the Director of Food and Beverage at the New York Marriott Marquis, the former JW Marriott Rihga Royal New York, the Seaview Marriott Golf Resort and Fairway Villa in New Jersey and the Sheraton Manhattan Hotel.

A leader in New York City’s hotel industry, Mr. Batta is the Secretary of the Hotel Association of New York City, where he chairs the finance committee and is a member of the audit and nominating committees. He also serves as a Trustee for the New York Hotel Trades Council & Hotel Association of New York City Inc. Employee Benefit Funds. In addition, he is the President of Les Amis d’Escoffier Society Foundation Inc., a nonprofit that provides scholarships for culinary arts students, and the Vice President of Inside Broadway, a New York City-based children’s theater company. Previously, Mr. Batta was appointed to Marriott’s General Manager Advisory Council and chaired Marriott’s New York Business Council. He was also the Vice President of the Food & Beverage Association of New York and a member of the National Association of Catering Executives (NACE). 

Mr. Batta received a B.S. in Business Marketing from Marist College. He lives in Freehold, New Jersey, with his wife and three children.

Nathan Logan

General Counsel

Nathan Logan is General Counsel of MCR. In this role, he leads the legal aspects of MCR’s business. 
 
Prior to joining MCR in 2018, Mr. Logan practiced law for 12 years with the global firm Latham & Watkins LLP, where he specialized in real estate M&A and financing transactions for private equity firms, REITs and other commercial real estate owners and investors. Mr. Logan represented MCR as outside counsel while at Latham & Watkins LLP and has advised on nearly every significant acquisition and development project the company has undertaken since 2013.
 
Mr. Logan earned his law degree from the University of Notre Dame and his B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Vanderbilt University and is licensed to practice law in California and Illinois. He lives in the Chicago region with his wife and three children.
 

Abby Hampton

Director, Investment Accounting

Abby Hampton is the Director of Investment Accounting for MCR.  In her role Ms. Hampton is responsible for preparing the corporate office financial statements as well as overseeing ownership accounting for several portfolios. She also works with the Development and Construction teams on various projects.  She joined the team in 2014 and has 15 years of hospitality accounting experience.  Prior to joining MCR, Ms. Hampton spent eleven years with Wyndham.  Ms. Hampton received her B.B.A. in Accounting from Washington State University.

Alyson Maur

Regional Director of Sales

Alyson Maur is a Regional Director of Sales for MCR with more than 11 years of multi-brand experience in the hospitality industry. Ms. Maur provides strategic and tactical support to her region and is responsible for sales leadership and revenue generation. Ms. Maur's primary responsibilities include achieving top line sales and market share growth as well as brand collaboration, strategic positioning, sales process implementation, training and development, resource allocation, hotel acquisitions, property openings, and recruiting. Previously, Ms. Maur's career included Area Director of Sales roles for The Briad Group, as well as sales positions with Buffalo Lodging Associates, Lodgeworks Corp., and Waterford Hotel Group.

Andrèa Thibeault

Senior Regional eCommerce Manager

Andrèa Thibeault is the Senior Regional eCommerce Manager for MCR with more than 20 years of multi-brand sales and eCommerce experience in the hospitality industry. In her current role, Ms. Thibeault supports the eCommerce function of the hotels, is responsible for growing and managing the online business development strategies among the corporate, tour and travel, transient and group markets. Previously, Ms. Thibeault's career included Director of Sales and eCommerce roles for Buffalo Lodging Associates, as well as Regional eCommerce Manager for Remington Hotels Corporation. Ms. Thibeault received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Johnson & Wales University.

Anton Liamin

VP, Finance

Anton Liamin is Vice President, Finance, of MCR. In this role, Mr. Liamin oversees the financial strategies for all of MCR’s independent full-service hotels across the country, including the 60-room The High Line Hotel in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood and the 512-room TWA Hotel at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport opening in spring 2019.

Prior to joining MCR in 2018, Mr. Liamin served as the Director of Finance at the Sheraton New York Times Square, where he was responsible for $195 million in annual revenue, as well as the Lead Director of Finance for all New York City and New Jersey Marriott hotels. Previously, Mr. Liamin was the Director of Finance at the luxury JW Marriott Essex House New York, The Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay in California, the San Jose Marriott in California and the Teaneck Marriott at Glenpointe in New Jersey. Earlier in his career, he held various finance roles with Marriott’s Renaissance Hotels in Washington, D.C. and Bedford, Massachusetts.

Mr. Liamin received his B.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from Florida International University and is a candidate for an MBA from Florida International University. 

Austin Fry

Associate, Investment Accounting

Austin Fry is responsible for assisting with the company’s finance and investor relations activities. Prior to joining MCR, Mr. Fry was a Senior Associate at Blue River Partners, where he was responsible for performing middle and back-office operations for private equity firms in the alternative asset industry. Mr. Fry received a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Accounting from Texas Christian University.

Barton Roseberry

Director, Investment Accounting

Barton Roseberry is the Director of Ownership Accounting for MCR. He joined MCR in 2013 and has over 10 years of accounting experience in the retail and hospitality industries. Mr. Roseberry is responsible for the hotel ownership accounting at MCR. Prior to joining MCR, Mr. Roseberry spent two years at Half Price Books, five years at Snelling Staffing and three years at Prism Hotels. Mr. Roseberry holds a MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas.

Chad Newman

Director of Operations

Chad Newman is a Director of Operations for MCR. He is responsible for driving revenue growth, forecasting, and cost controls as well as profitability improvement, guest satisfaction, and team member career development. Since attending the University of Maryland, Mr. Newman's hospitality career has included General Manager and regional positions with leading hotel operators such as Ocean Properties, Island Hospitality, and The Briad Group.

Bill Kidney

VP, Operations

Bill Kidney is the VP, Operations of MCR. Previously, he served as Regional Director of Operations for Flagstone Hospitality, the affiliated management company for RFS Hotel Investors, Inc., in Memphis, TN where he was directly accountable for 18 full and select service hotels. He served in this capacity for 12 years. Prior to RFS, Mr. Kidney was an Area Manager and General Manager of several full service hotels including 2 "Top 20" Holiday Inn hotels and several properties from 300 to 500 rooms over a span of 20 years.

Colleen Ker

Senior Director, Revenue Management

Colleen Ker is the Senior Director of Revenue Management with MCR. She is responsible for providing revenue management and eCommerce support through the use of creative strategies, analysis of pricing, trends, performance and effective inventory management that focuses on revenue growth and profit. Prior to MCR, Ms. Ker's hospitality career included 15 years with Marriott International as a Revenue Director overseeing resorts and full service hotels. Prior to Marriott, Ms. Ker worked at several full service hotels in the South Jersey/Philadelphia market in both operational and sales management positions. Her career started in the casino hotel industry in Atlantic City where she spent 8 years in hotel operations and casino marketing. She received her BS in Economics from Villanova University.

Elaine Carter

Regional Director of Sales

Elaine Carter is a Regional Director of Sales for MCR. Ms. Carter is responsible for implementing strategic sales plans that focus on increasing revenue and market share penetrations to hotels within her region. Additionally, she provides leadership support as well as training and development . Ms. Carter has over 30 years of sales and marketing experience in the hotel industry which includes roles in full service, focused service, limited service, extended stay, and independents hotel properties. Prior to joining MCR, Ms. Carter was as a Regional and Area Director of Sales for Remington Hotels. She has also served as a Sales Director for Lodge works, Hyatt, Dimension Development, and Bristol Hotels. Ms. Carter served as the 104th ASG S1 Army Hotel Billeting, Director of Marketing and MWR programs. She received her BA in Hospitality Management from the University of Maryland.

Eileen Corrigan

Regional Director of Sales

Eileen Corrigan is a Regional Director of Sales for MCR.  As a hospitality professional with over 20 years of experience she is responsible for implementing strategies and leading sales teams to increase revenue and market share. Her roles in hospitality have included, sales, training, revenue management and general manager for full service and extended stay hotels.   Additionally, Eileen has held positions with Hilton Worldwide as Director of Brand Support for Embassy Suites and Homewood Suites, Director of Sales and General Manager.    

 

Erik Palmer

Managing Director, TWA Hotel

Erik Palmer is Managing Director, TWA Hotel, for MCR. In this role, Mr. Palmer leads the day-to-day operations of the 512-room TWA Hotel at John F. Kennedy International Airport opening in spring 2019.

Prior to joining MCR in 2018, Mr. Palmer served as the Hotel Manager for the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, the largest non-casino hotel in the United States, and transformed the property into a top performer in Marriott’s portfolio. Previously, Mr. Palmer was the General Manager at the Courtyard and Residence Inn L.A. LIVE, which was ranked among the top five hotels in Marriott’s western region for guest satisfaction, and the Director of Hotel Operations at the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel & Spa. Before that, he was the Director of Event Management at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel & Residences and JW Marriott at L.A. LIVE as well as at the New York Marriott Marquis, where he began his career as a Banquet Manager.
 
Mr. Palmer has a B.S. in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management from the University of Delaware. 

 

Guy Beaulieu

Director of Operations

Guy Beaulieu is a Director of Operations for MCR. He is responsible for driving revenue growth, profitability, and guest service improvement.  Guy also oversees the Sales and Operations efforts of Marriott and Hilton branded hotels throughout his region, which includes hotels  in Texas,  Arkansas, and Oklahoma. After graduating from Central Missouri State University with a B.S. in Hotel-Restaurant Administration, his career has included working for Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group as a District Director over the Mid Atlantic-Northeast region.  Additionally, Guy has served as a quality insurance inspector for Drury hotels and has held General Manager positions with Interstate Hotels and Resorts and Tharaldson Hospitality.  Guy is also a retired military veteran with a 20 years of service.

 

James Spinks

Director of Accounting

James Spinks is the Director of Centralized Accounting for MCR. He joined MCR in 2013 and has over 15 years of accounting experience in the hospitality industry. Mr. Spinks is responsible for the company's centralized hotel accounting and accounts payable departments. Prior to joining MCR, Mr. Spinks was at Pillar Hotels & Resorts for four years and Interstate Hotels & Resorts for eight years. Mr. Spinks holds a BS in hospitality management from the University of North Texas.

Jason Garone

VP, Construction

Mr. Garone is the Vice President of Construction of MCR.  He is responsible for construction oversite, implementation of fiscal management and collaboration with design teams, consultants and contractors on all projects.  Mr. Garone began his career with Lend Lease in 2000, where he worked in both their New York and London offices on construction contracts valued in excess of $750M.  Mr. Garone later worked for Hunter Roberts in 2012 before joining Brodsky Organization in 2013.  At Brodsky, Mr. Garone reported directly to the President and managed the construction of high-rise luxury residential projects, including the 440-unit City Tower in Brooklyn, NY.

Jennifer McGuigan

Senior Director, Training & Development

Jennifer McGuigan is the Senior Director, Training & Development for MCR. She is responsible for the design and implementation of property level training including MCR policy and procedures, finance, and guest experience. Ms. McGuigan's hospitality career includes serving as a General Manager with MCR as well as General Manager, Director of Food & Beverage, and Director of Catering roles with Columbia Sussex. She received her Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration from Cornell University.

Joe Coursolle

Director of Operations

Joe Coursolle is a Regional Director of Operations for MCR.  He is responsible for overseeing the Sales and Operating efforts of Hilton and Marriott branded hotels throughout his region in locations of Ohio, Georgia, Florida, Colorado and Montana.  Mr. Coursolle was a General Manager with Hilton Hotels for over 20 years operating Focus, Full Service and Resort hotels in Minnesota, Texas, Missouri and Indiana.  He also worked as a training consultant for IHG and as a General Manager for Drury Hotels.

Joseph Delli Santi

VP, Acquisitions & Development

Joe Delli Santi is responsible for assisting with the company’s acquisition, development and capital markets activities. Prior to MCR, Joe was a Senior Associate with Starwood Capital Group, where he was responsible for managing a number of the firm’s investments in the full and limited service hotel sectors. Additionally, he also served as Vice President of Corporate Development for TMI Hospitality, one of the country’s largest hotel owner / operators with a portfolio of over 180 select service and extended stay properties that Starwood Capital Group acquired in January 2015. In this role, he was responsible for the execution of the firm’s growth-related initiatives, the disposition of non-core assets and various other functions.

Kaunteya Chitnis 

VP, Acquisitions & Development

Kaunteya Chitnis is responsible for assisting the firm's execution of acquisition, disposition, development, and capital markets activities. Prior to MCR, Mr. Chitnis was a Senior Associate in Ernst & Young's Transaction Real Estate Group, where he focused on providing M&A, capital markets, valuation, and strategic advisory services to hospitality and leisure clients. Prior to Ernst & Young, Mr. Chitnis was an Analyst within Citibank’s Institutional Client’s Group. Mr. Chitnis is a graduate of Cornell University.

Keith Osborne

Director of Operations

Keith Osborne serves as Regional Director of Operations for MCR and within his role, Keith has oversight of the field-based Operations & Sales Teams and assists in the development and implementation of critical operating strategies and initiatives, ensuring alignment with the strategic mission of the company and superior financial performance of the 14 hotels he is accountable for in the Texas Region.

Prior to joining MCR, Keith served 15 years as Chief Operating Officer for two successful Upper Mid-West hotel management and development companies.  With over 25 years of hospitality industry experience, Keith has held other senior level positions including Director of Quality Assurance for the Promus Hotel Corporation, now a part of Hilton Worldwide and served several tours as General Manager in both full and select service properties.

Keith attended Eastern Illinois University and majored in Business Administration with a focus in Hotel and Restaurant Management.

Kelley McCoy

Regional Director of Sales 

Kelley McCoy is a Regional Director of Sales for MCR. She is responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue and improve market share. She provides leadership, support and training to the hotel teams in her region. Previously, Ms. McCoy was Senior VP of Sales for Copper Hospitality and held several positions at Hilton Worldwide providing support for brands including Embassy Suites, Hilton Suites, and Hampton.Ms. McCoy has a BS in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University.

Kevin Klein

Corporate Director, Food & Beverage

Kevin Klein is the Corporate Director, Food and Beverage for MCR. He is responsible for ensuring brand compliance and operational standards while supporting local team leaders in creating a positive venue experience, driving service excellence and achieving cost projections and revenue targets. He collaborates with suppliers to gain increased value from vendors and service providers. Prior to joining MCR, Mr. Klein was Director of Food and Beverage for the Georgia Theatre Company and its subsidiary Mellow Mushroom restaurant operations. With more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, he has also held senior management positions with various restaurant and hotel groups. Mr. Klein holds a B.S. in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management, as well as, an Associate’s Degree with Honors in Culinary Arts from Johnson and Wales University, Providence RI. 

Kim Aviles

Regional Director of Sales 

Kim Aviles is a hospitality professional with over 23 years of experience in the industry. Her diverse experience includes multi-brand full and select service properties throughout the Northeast United States. Kim comes to MCR with the dedication and ability to develop and mentor sales teams, a passion for training in Sales & Marketing along with brand training from Marriott, Hilton and Independent Hotels and Resorts. Prior to joining MCR, Kim was a Regional DOSM with HHM, where she over saw properties in Pennsylvania from Philadelphia to Harrisburg. Kim’s primary responsibilities include achieving and exceeding top line revenue and market share growth, as well as strategic positioning within the sales process. This included training and development of GM, DOS and support staff to secure success within the region. Kim lives in Cherry Hill, NJ where she loves to Zumba, dance and write.

Leah McFarland

Senior Regional Revenue Manager

Leah McFarland is Senior Regional Revenue Manager for MCR.  Ms. McFarland has the revenue management responsibility of a portfolio of seven hotels in the Permian Basin oil field.  Additionally, she handles hiring, training and development of the revenue management staff and corporate level reporting of revenue related metrics.  Ms. McFarland has nearly fifteen years of hotel industry experience including rolls with focused service brands for both Marriott and Hilton, as well as Independent hotels and full service Marriott properties.  Prior to joining MCR, Ms. McFarland worked in sales and revenue management for a number of hotel franchisees, including the bulks of her years spent with While Lodging Services in revenue management.  She is proud have been a part of a Marriott Full Service opening team of a the year and Marriott Revenue Management team of the year.  She received her BA in Business from Indiana University.  

Lisa Kilgore

Director, Investment Accounting

Lisa Kilgore is a Director of Investment Accounting for MCR.  She joined MCR in 2018 and has 19 years of accounting experience, 12 years of which have been in the commercial real estate investment industry.  Prior to joining MCR, Ms. Kilgore was the Real Estate Controller for Behringer Harvard’s Opportunity Funds.  She began her career as an auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers.  Ms. Kilgore received her B.B.A. in Accounting from Harding University in Searcy, AR and is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas.  

Mark J. Kucera, CHA

VP, Operations

Mark Kucera is a VP, Operations for MCR overseeing a portfolio of open and operating hotels as well as several properties under development. Prior to joining MCR, Mr. Kucera served as President/COO of Presidian Hotels & Resorts, a hotel development and management company for four years. He was directly accountable for the overall operations of the Hotel and Condo Management division. Prior to Presidian, Mr. Kucera served as Executive Vice President of Operations for Expotel Hospitality Services for eight years. Prior to Expotel, Mr. Kucera held the position of Regional Director of Operations, Midwest for Flagstone Hospitality Management, the affiliated management company of RFS Hotel Investors, Inc., in Memphis, TN. Mr. Kucera spent 14 years with RFS/Flagstone where he held various General Manager Positions and expanding to multi-property management. Mr. Kucera earned a B.S. Degree in Hospitality Management from The Ohio State University.

Matt Kinley

Director of Operations

Matt Kinley is a Director of Operations of MCR and previously served as Area General Manager for MCR Development overseeing hotels in Connecticut and New York. Prior to joining MCR, Mr. Kinley ran his own hotel consulting company, Hospitality Performance Enhancement Services working primarily with Sage Hospitality, Wave Development, and Jackson Street Hospitality. Mr. Kinley spent 11 years with Hyatt Regency Hotels and 6 years with Meristar/Interstate Hotels as General Manager of various properties including Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort, Hilton Dedham/Boston and Radisson Scottsdale Resort and Spa as well as serving as General Manager for HEI Hotels at Sheraton Ferncroft Resort Boston and The Westin Stamford Hotel in Connecticut.

Margalit Kohanim

Project Manager, Acquisitions & Development

Margalit Kohanim is a Project Manager on MCR’s Acquisitions & Development team, responsible for planning, managing, and executing cross-functional projects for the TWA Hotel development. Prior to joining MCR, Ms. Kohanim was an Associate Director of Design and Construction at Highgate Hotels, where she managed hotel renovations and capital projects for which she oversaw the projects’ budgets, design, and construction. Ms. Kohanim is a graduate of the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University.

Merik Mulcahy

Associate, Acquisitions & Development

Merik Mulcahy is responsible for assisting with the firm’s acquisition, development and capital markets activities. Prior to joining MCR, Mr. Mulcahy was an Assistant Vice President in the real estate transactions group at the New York City Economic Development Corporation, where he managed acquisitions and structured a wide variety of public-private real estate transactions. Previously, Mr. Mulcahy was at CRC Companies, where he assisted with due diligence of multi-family acquisition and development opportunities. Mr. Mulcahy is a graduate of Princeton University.

Michael Buta

Director of Operations

Michael Buta serves as Regional Director of Operations for MCR. Within his role, he is responsible for overseeing operations, sales and guest service performance of Marriott and Hilton branded hotels throughout his region, which includes hotels in Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma.

Prior to joining MCR, Michael served as Vice President of Operations for Magnolia Lodging for 14 years, developing and operating award-winning hotels.  With over 20 years of hospitality experience, Michael has held other leadership positions with hospitality companies such as Hilton Worldwide & Wyndham International in the areas of operations, food & beverage and sales and marketing in both full service and select service hotels.  

Michael attended the University of Illinois and majored in Business Administration.

Michael Rosen

Director of Operations

Michael Rosen is a Director of Operations for MCR. He is responsible for driving revenue growth, forecasting, and cost controls as well as profitability improvement, guest satisfaction, and team member career development. Since attending Indiana University, Michael's 20+ year hospitality career has included General Manager positions with several Marriott and Hilton brands along with La Quinta and independent hotels.  Michael joined MCR in 2013 as a General Manager and most recently has held the position of Area Director of Operations for the hotels in West Texas.

Natasha Ivanova

Associate,Investment Accounting

Natasha Ivanova is responsible for assisting with the company’s finance and investor relations activities. Prior to joining MCR, Ms. Ivanova was a financial analyst at Crow Holdings Capital – Real Estate, where she was responsible for underwriting commercial real estate acquisitions and developments, leading and supporting due diligence efforts, and assisting with capital markets activities. Ms. Ivanova received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Real Estate Finance from Southern Methodist University

Nick Katsikis

Director of Operations

Nick Katsikis is a Director of Operations for MCR. He is responsible for overseeing the sales and operating efforts of multiple hotel brands and the quality service levels throughout his region which include the greater Baltimore and New Jersey portfolio. Mr. Katsikis began his career with Marriott International in 1994, and offers leadership experience with an extended stay specialty for Marriott and Hilton brands. Mr. Katsikis has also held the Area Manager role for the Atlantic City area hotel properties and has held multiple General Manager and Task force opening positions throughout his tenure with MCR, Marriott International, and Hilton. Mr. Katsikis holds a B.S. in Hospitality Management from Widener University.

Nick Polera

Senior Associate, Acquisitions & Development

Nicholas Polera is responsible for assisting the firm's execution of acquisition, disposition, development, and capital markets activities. Prior to MCR, Mr. Polera was an analyst at Starwood Capital Group focusing on select-service hotel asset management. Mr. Polera is a graduate of Cornell University. 

 

Nicole Wolf

Senior Associate, Acquisitions & Development

Nicole Wolf is responsible for assisting with the company’s acquisition, disposition, and capital markets activities. Before joining MCR, Ms. Wolf was an Analyst at JF Capital Advisors, where she assisted with providing advisory services to hospitality clients, including transaction structuring, debt and equity placement, and brand and management company evaluation. Previously, she worked in asset management for Tishman Hotel Corporation. Ms. Wolf is a graduate of New York University. 

Pete Foster

Analyst, Acquisitions & Development

Pete Foster is responsible for assisting with the company’s acquisition, disposition, and capital markets activities. Prior to joining MCR, Mr. Foster was a member of Stanford GSB’s Summer Institute and an analyst at Vesta Industrial Real Estate in Mexico City. Mr. Foster is a graduate of the University of Richmond.

Sam Heffernan

Associate, Acquisitions & Development

Sam Heffernan is responsible for assisting with the company’s acquisition, disposition, and capital markets activities. Prior to joining MCR, Mr. Heffernan was an investment analyst at Kensico Capital, an equity long-short hedge fund, focusing on public markets equity investments. Mr. Heffernan is a graduate of Princeton University. 

Scott Melby

Associate, Acquisitions & Development

Scott Melby is responsible for assisting the firm’s execution of acquisition, disposition, development, and capital markets activities. Prior to joining MCR, Mr. Melby was an analyst at Madison International Realty focusing on office, retail, and multifamily investments in the U.S. and Western Europe. Mr. Melby is a graduate of the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University. 

Tom Mituzas

VP, Labor Relations 

Tom Mituzas is Vice President, Labor Relations & Human Resources, for MCR. In this role, Mr. Mituzas oversees the culture for all of MCR’s independent full-service hotels across the country, including the 60-room The High Line Hotel in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood and the 512-room TWA Hotel at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport opening in spring 2019. 

Prior to joining MCR in 2018, Mr. Mituzas served as the Director of Human Resources for the Sheraton New York Times Square and as the Labor Relations Market Leader for Marriott Hotels in the New York City area. Before Marriott purchased Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. in 2016, Mr. Mituzas was the Area Director of Human Resources, overseeing 10 of Starwood’s managed properties in the New York and New Jersey area for 16 years. Mr. Mituzas began his career with Sheraton Hotels and Resorts, performing various operations and human resources roles from his base at the Sheraton New York Hotel.

A longtime member of the negotiating committee for the Hotel Association of New York City, Mr. Mituzas also serves as a Trustee for the New York Hotel Trades Council & Hotel Association of New York City Inc. Employee Benefit Funds. He was appointed to Marriott’s East Coast Labor Relations Council and, in 2017, was awarded the Human Resource Business Partner of the Year award. Additionally, he was appointed to the Advisory Board of the Starwood Associate Relief Fund, which benefited staff members across the globe. 

Mr. Mituzas has a B.A. in Psychology from Hunter College, CUNY, and an M.S. in Counseling & Human Resource Development from Bridgeport University. He lives in Long Island City, Queens.

 

William White

VP, Acquisitions & Development

William White is responsible for assisting with the firm’s acquisition, development and capital markets activities. Prior to joining MCR, Mr. White was a Senior Associate in the real estate transactions group at the New York City Economic Development Corporation, where he served as project manager for a wide variety of complex public-private development projects. Previously, Mr. White was at Tungsten Partners, where he assisted with due diligence of development opportunities for the Ace Hotel brand. Mr. White is a graduate of Harvard University.
